P7 Rm7 mr macdonald

Room 7 have had a great start to P7. We have already settled in to some new routines, class jobs and have began working democratically to create our class charter. Our class novel this term is Holes by Louis Sachar which we read daily, and work in table teams to earn points towards a weekly reward. Points can also be earned by displaying positive attitudes to learning and living up to our school values of ready, respectful and safe, or for showing courage and compassion.  The class has gotten off to a fast start in PE with Mr Wright where the focus will be on team-work and positive collaboration.

In the coming weeks we will get into our topic “Planet Earth”. We have explored what the kids already know and what they want to learn this term. Room 7 will also be creating their own listening ladder as we remind ourselves what it takes to be a good listener as part of our Oracy skills. We were delighted to receive so many applications for House Captains and now have the extremely tough task of selecting the very best candidates.
